On December 26, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, participated as the Keynote Speaker in the 4th International Conference of School of Medicine hosted by the School of Medicine, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. Having been held at Tran Chi Dao Auditorium Room, the Conference was organized with the theme of "Networking – Innovation – Progress in Health Sciences in Vietnam".
In light of this, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan delivered the lecture in the topic of "Overview of Pharmaceutical Management and Healthcare System in Thailand". Furthermore, he took part as the Chair in the Conference’s Parallel Session in the area of “Pharmacy - Traditional Medicine 2”. The Conference was arranged with the aim of exchanging professional knowledge, sharing cutting-edge findings and trends, and promoting international collaboration in health science domestically and internationally. Several topics were conveyed to its participants, and various activities were arranged during the conference, including plenary lectures, poster presentations, round table discussion, networking events, and awards ceremony. Through these activities, the event’s participants could learn innovative healthcare education and practices as well as to extend their academic network for professional careers.
Furthermore, his participation in this conference supported the Faculty’s Missions in terms of serving as the portal for professional services that encompasses drugs, herbal medicine, cosmetics, and dietary supplement to support the sustainable development of the nation, resulting in increasing international visibility of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Pharmacy. It also responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Reduce inequality within and among countries. Goal 10: reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
