Academic Year
The Faculty of Pharmacy’s academic year for graduate studies consist of 2 semesters (15 weeks of scheduled classes each) plus a summer semester. The usual schedule is as followed.

Application Process

Application for admission to master degree programs should be submitted to Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University as early as possible per above schedule. For admission into the 1st semester and 2nd semester, completed application materials should be submitted by no later than February and no later than September, respectively. Late applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Application materials that should be submitted are as followed.

- One (1) complete application form (not necessary if completed online)
- Two (2) recent photographs
- Two (2) copies of applicant's degree certificate
- Two (2) copies of certified academic transcript or grade report with English translation
- Two (2) copies of statement with study plan and career goals (100-150 words)
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from universities and / or employers, mailed directly to
   the Faculty of Graduate Studies
- Two (2) copies of TOEFL score report of 500 or TOEIC of 173 or IELTS of 6.0 or higher

Certain programs may require additional materials such as letter certifying working experience or a copy of relevant professional license. Please contact the director of each program of interest, or the department listed in our website.

Scholarships/Financial Assistance
A number of our faculty members are awarded with scholarship or research funding from many sources. One of the most prestigious scholarships is the Royal Golden Jubilee Ph.D. (RGJ-Ph.D.) Program from the Thailand Research Fund. In the year 2008, a total of 10 faculty members with excellent research records and strong international collaborations have been awarded with such scholarship. The grants also provide support for students to gain international research experience for 6-12 months. The grants cover most essential items and there is no obligation to work for government agencies after completion of doctoral studies. However, each student is required to produce a least one international publication before his/her graduation. The budget is approximately 2,000,000 baht (maximum 5 years) for a student with a B.S degree (Table 1), and 1,500,000 baht (maximum 3 years) for a student with an M.S. degree.
