2010  
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimolpan Pithayanukul received the Thailand Nagai Award 2010 from The Nagai Foundation, Japan.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimolpan Pithayanukul from the Division of Pharmaceutical Technology, Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University received the Thailand Nagai Award 2010 from The Nagai Foundation, Japan. This prestigious award is given to her to recognize her outstanding research work entitled “Boosting Oncolytic Adenovirus Potency with Magnetic Nanoparticles and Magnetic Force”. This work has been published in a prestigious journal in pharmaceutics area called Molecular Pharmaceutics. The award ceremony was held during in the 27th Annual Research Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand on December 3, 2010.
Assoc. Prof. Wandee Gritsanapan received a prestigious 2009 International Alumnus of the Year Vice Chancellor's Commendation from the University of Queensland, Australia.
Assoc. Prof. Wandee Gritsanapan, a quality researcher and educator of the Department of Pharmacognosy, received a prestigious 2009 International Alumnus of the Year Vice Chancellor's Commendation from the University of Queensland, Australia. Dr. Wandee won this award based on her outstanding and prolific contribution in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. During the award presentation, the organizing committee showcased some of Dr. Wandee’s many achievements which impressed the hearts and minds of the audience. MUPY cherishes her contribution and congratulate her on this deservedly won award.
2009  
Assoc. Prof. Leena Suntornsuk was among the top-three finalists in the Young Women Researcher Award (medicine category) and received the 1st runner up award. The Young Women Researcher Award aims to acknowledge and strengthen women representation and the technological leadership in particularly the efforts and contributions in achieving Research Excellence. The award ceremony was held at the TWAS-TWOWS-SCOPUS Regional Young Women Scientist Symposium, 8-10 November 2009 at the National Science Center, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
2008  

Prof. Dr. Narong Sarisuta named the 2008 recipient of Ishidate award. (7 November 2008)
Prof. Dr. Narong Sarisuta is the 2008 recipient of the prestigious Ishidate award. The ceremony was held at the Federation Asian Pharmaceutical Association (FAPA) 2008 Scientific Meeting in Singapore during November 7th -10th, 2008. Dr. Narong, a Professor in the Department of Manufacturing Pharmacy, is internationally renowned for his work in the area of Industrial Pharmacy. During the FAPA 2008 scientific meeting, Dr. Narong gave a lecture on one of his prominent works which entitled “Development and manufacture of liposomes of antifungal drugs: From classical to novel techniques”.

2006  
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pleumchitt Rojanapanthu and Research Team Awarded U.S. Patent
Assoc.Prof.Dr Pleumchitt Rojanapanthu and her research team consisting of Assoc. Prof.Dr. Wandee Gritsanapan, Mullika Sirirat, and Cholticha Amornchat were awarded a United States Patent on “Andrographis paniculata Gel as an Adjunct in the Treatment of Periodontitis” (Patent No. 7,135,164 B2, 14 November 2006). The patent describes the composition of a biodegradable gel or ointment comprising of an extract from Andrographis paniculata, Garcinia mangostana or Curcurma longa having antimicrobial activity towards periodontal pathogens, such as Porphyromonas gingivalis, in combination with a gel base consisting of glyceryl monooleate and trigyceride. This formulation is exceptional since it makes use of extracts from Thai plants in combination with a sustained release method of delivery. The work has won several awards;
  • Certificate from Bulgarian American Chamber of Commerce & Industry for Special Deserts in Thailand in the Field of Innovation, Brussel, 22 November, 2001.
  • Diploma of Silver medal from Brussels Eureka 2001 : 50th Anniversary of the World Exhibition of Innovation, Research and New Technology, Brussels, 16 November 2001.
  • First Prize Invention Award of Thai Inventor in the field of medicinal plants from The Thailand Productivity Institute, Thailand, 2002.
  • The Best Invention Award in the Fields of Sciences, Chemistry and Pharmacy 2002, from the Research Council of Thailand, Bangkok, Thailand, 31 January 2002.

Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations presented two “FAPA Ishidate Awards 2006” to Faculty members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Satit Puttipipatkhachorn wins “FAPA Ishidate Awards 2004” from Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA)
Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations presented a “FAPA Ishidate Awards 2004” to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Satit Puttipipatkhachorn from Department of Manufacturing Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University for his achievement in the area of Pharmaceutical Research. The award was presented in the 20th Asian Congress of Pharmaceutical Sciences which was held on November 30 – December 3, 2004 at Bangkok Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Leena Suntornsuk from Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University received the Thailand Nagai Award 2004 from The Nagai Foundation, Japan. The outstanding research work was entitled “Precision Improvement for the Analysis of Flavonoids in Selected Thai Plants by Capillary Zone Electrophoresis”. The award was presented in the 21st Annual Research Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.

2003  

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nuttanan Sinchaipanid receives the Agglomeration Award.
At the 8th International Symposium on Agglomeration held in Bangkok on March 16-18, 2003. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nuttanan Sinchaipanid receives an award as an outstanding researcher in the areas of pelletization and hot melt coating.

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Leena Suntornsuk wins “Development Cooperation Prize” from Development and Cooperation Ministry, Belgium
Development and Cooperation Ministry, Belgium presented a “Development Cooperation Prize 2003” in the area of Pharmaceutical Chemistry to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Leena Suntornsuk from Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. She did an outstanding research work on analysis of active constituents in medicinal plants and natural products by capillary zone electrophoresis which would be useful for developing countries.

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Wandee Gritsanapan wins “Thailand Nagai Award 2003” from the Nagai Foundation, Japan
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Wandee Gritsanapan from Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University received the Thailand Nagai Award 2003 from The Nagai Foundation, Japan. The outstanding research work was entitled “Antioxidative compound in the leaves of Siamese Neem Tree”. The award was presented in the 20th Annual Research Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences on December 1, 2003 at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.

Assoc.Prof. Dr. Opa Vajragupta wins “Thailand Nagai Award 1999” from the Nagai Foundation
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Opa Vajragupta from Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University received the Thailand Nagai Award 1999 from The Nagai Foundation, Japan. The outstanding research work was entitled “Chroman amide 12P inhibition of lipid peroxidation and protection against learning and memory impairment”. The award was presented in the 16th Annual Research Meeting in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn Universuty, Bangkok, Thailand.

Assoc.Prof. Pranee Jai-arj wins “FAPA Ishidate Awards 1998” from Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA)
Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations presented a “FAPA Ishidate Awards 1998” to Assoc.Prof. Pranee Jai-arj from Department of Physiology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University for her achievement in the area of Pharmaceutical Education. The award was presented in the 17th Asian Congress of Pharmaceutical Sciences which was held on December 10-13, 1998 at Mumbai, India.

Prof.Dr. Sompol Prakongpan wins “FAPA Ishidate Awards 1994” from Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA)
Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations presented a “FAPA Ishidate Awards 1994” to Prof.Dr. Sompol Prakongpan from Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University for his achievement in the area of Pharmaceutical Research. The award was presented in the 15th Asian Congress of Pharmaceutical Sciences which was held on November 15-19, 1994 at Bangkok Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ampol Mitrevej wins “FAPA Ishidate Awards 1992” from Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA)
Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations presented a “FAPA Ishidate Awards 1992” to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ampol Mitrevej from Department of Manufacturing Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University for his achievement in the area of Industrial Pharmacy. The award was presented in the 14th Asian Congress of Pharmaceutical Sciences which was held on November 5-9, 1992 at Lahore, Pakistan.
