Introduction

Scope:  The Mahidol University Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences is an international journal in English published three times annually by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. The Journal focuses on all areas of pharmaceutical sciences and related disciplines.


Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Editorial Policy:  The Mahidol University Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences is committed to the timely publication of innovative papers and reviews. Manuscripts submitted for publication in this journal must not have been previously published and are not under consideration for publication in any other media. All manuscripts accepted for publication are peer-reviewed. As a result of the technical review process, a manuscript may be accepted without change, recommended for modification and further review, or rejected. Manuscripts are accepted with the understanding that authors have obtained the authority for publication and they have performed the studies under the rules for animal experiments, clinical studies and biodiversity rights. If accepted, the manuscript shall not be published elsewhere in the same form, in either the same or another language, without the consent of the Editors and Publisher. Authors are responsible for the scientific accuracy of the papers. The Mahidol University Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences assumes no responsibility for conclusions and errors made by authors.

Types of Manuscripts

1. Original Articles Articles are comprehensive accounts of significant experimental of theoretical results. The arrangement of full length articles should accord with the following :

- Title and Running Title The full title is not limited in length but the running title should not exceed 80 characters including spaces between words.
- List of Authors The corresponding author is indicated by a superscript*.
- Affiliations Names and address of the establishments where the work was done.
- Abstract The abstract should include the basic contents of the article. It should briefly present (not exceeding 250 words) in one paragraph. Two separate abstracts written in Thai and English are requested.
- Keywords Keywords or short phrased suitable for indexing should be supplied.
- Text The text should be divided into main sections, such as the following: 1. Introduction, 2. Materials and methods, 3. Results, 4. Discussion, 5. Acknowledgements, 6. References.
- Figure and Table Legends, Table Legends, Footnotes, Figures legends, tables and footnotes should be typed on separate sheets, lines double spaced.Footnotes, to be numbered consecutively in superscript throughout the text, should be used as little as possible.

2. Review Articles Review Articles provide a summary of topics of general interest to pharmacists. Review Articles are by invitation only.

3. Communications Communications are preliminary reports limited to approximately 1,500 words including tables, figures and references.

4. Letters to the Editor Readers are invited to give an opinion on a scientific or technical subject within the scope of the Journal. If an article published in the Journal is criticized, the authors of the original article will be given an opportunity to reply in the same issue.

Instructions for Preparing ReferencesTypes of Manuscripts

There are different formats for periodicals, books, etc. Please follow the appropriate model for each type of reference. Please cite references in the text by superscripted number. At the end of the articles, list the references in the order they appear in the text.

Submission of Manuscripts

Manuscripts must be typed of reproduced on a high-quality printer double-spaced on A 4 paper on one side only. All pages should be numbered sequentially. Three copies of the manuscript and a diskette must be submitted together with a covering letter to the Editor:
