On February 22, 2024, from 01.30 p.m. to 03.00 p.m., the executives of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY) led by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doungdaw Chantasart, the Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, Assoc. Prof. Usa Chaikedkleaw, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Satsawat Visansirikul, and Dr. Teerawit Audshasai provided a warm welcome to Prof. Dr. Opa Vajragupta, the Director of Molecular Probes for Imaging Research Network under the International Research Network (IRN), the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University.
Prof. Dr. Opa Vajragupta brought the international researchers and experts from several institutes including (1) Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), Germany, (3) Yale PET Center, Yale University, USA, (3) UNN-PET Center, Norway, and (4) Peking University, the People’s Republic of China, to visit Mahidol University’s Faculty of Pharmacy to establish new global research network. Having been at Room 606, the meeting was aimed at discussing potential academic and research collaborations between the researchers of Thai institutes and foreign institutes. After the meeting, the visitors had a chance to visit MUPY’s research facilities including the Centre of Biopharmaceutical Science for Healthy Ageing (BSHA) and the Centre of Molecular Targeting and Integrated Drug Development (CMT-IDD). This would lead to future research collaboration between MUPY and international partners in the field of radiopharmaceuticals.
Furthermore, these researchers and experts had participated as the invited speakers in the 2nd International Conference on Molecular Probes for Imaging Research Network on Advancements in Next-Generation Theranostics and the Post Conference on in Vivo Aminal Imaging - PET Radiotracer Development and Validation arranged by the Molecular Probes for Imaging Research Network under International Research Network during February 21-23, 2024. This meeting also responded to SDG’s 4th Goal: Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all, and 17th Goal: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.
